NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

New member orientations are held every month on the 2nd Sunday of each month at noon. NOTE: There is no orientation for the months of November or December.

NEW MEMBERS

New members must attend an in person-orientation prior to joining the club. Then, if you wish to join, fill out our online New Member Application. You can pay your annual membership fee online (see below) or bring a check/cash and your waiver to your first mentoring session. These mentoring sessions are to help you learn the ways of the club and the hazards on the water. We expect you to already know how to scull or paddle. Your dues may be returned if our club does not turn out to be a good fit.

Both parties and the equipment are covered by our insurance, and the mentor is helping a fellow member, not just providing free sessions to a stranger. As always, any teaching or coaching sessions are set up privately between members, and both student and coach must be fully paid members if using Club equipment. A New Member Checklist form should be completed during the mentoring sessions.

Membership is $200 per year. New members joining in June or later in the calendar year may have their dues prorated as follows for the first year:

Renewals are not prorated.

A membership is available to those aged 18 and over and may include a spouse or partner. Minors may use the Club if a parent, guardian or coach who is a regular member is present at all times.

Are you joining BPRC in the middle of the year? You can pay prorated BPRC dues (based on the month you join) online using PayPal. There is a 3.49% + $0.50 processing fee associated with this online payment which has been included. Please note: this prorated fee is for new members only. Returning members must pay the full annual fee. See payment options on the Member Resources page.

If your bank offers Bill Pay, you can arrange to have them send a check to our PO Box. Have the checks mailed to P.O. Box 99285, Emeryville, CA 94662. Be sure to print a copy of your payment receipt.
